A living museum, a model village, an inspiration to other rural heritage centers with limited means in Palestine and beyond-that is the vision of the the Artas Folklore Center.
The Artas Folklore Center seeks to incorporate the astonishingly rich and varied documentation about all aspects of the heritage of its village, to provide the visitor with an unforgettable experience on the one hand, and provide income for the people of the village on the other. This in turn, will encourage further preservation of the tangible and intangible heritage, and promote protection of the Palestinian patrimony as a whole. In this way, the work in the various areas of the Artas Folklore Center will mesh in a seamless whole. An impossible dream? With the innovative thinking for which we are known and with the right combination of partners, We don't think so! Want to be part of it? Let us know!
