submitted by Bethlehem Arab Women's Union
15.10.2006

A. This museum is housed in two old buildings in the traditional style consisting of 12 rooms.
B. The museum first opened in 1972 and boasts a valuable collection of traditional Palestinian costumes, household and agricultural items and traditional furniture; in addition a large collection of old photographs and pictures depicting Bethlehem and its inhabitants in the 19th and early part of the 20th centuries.
Note: The number of visitors to this museum has dropped sharply due to the siege imposed around Bethlehem
