Bethlehem c1958 - Elias Hanna Canawati on his purebred Arabian horse "Lihsan".

In a stable right under the Canawati house located at Anatreh Street, and a few blocks from the Church of Nativity and the "Manger in the Stable in which baby Jesus was laid", Elias Canawati kept his purebred Arabian horses. Here he is seen on his favourite "Lihsan", which was a familiar sight at parades and processions year round..
