Beit Jala 1956 - Family of martyr FARID ELIAS ABU-MOHOR (1917-1956)[37) dressed in black, grieving for the loss of a beloved young husband and father.

Wife Jamileh in the centre, with children Rita, Riyad, Raja'ee, Rose, Ra'eef and Rifqi.

FARID was a Sargent in the Jordanian Police Force and was killed in the Battle of Qal'qilia in 1956 during the Suez-Sinai crisis.

In his memory, the Municipality of Beit Jala named a square in his name called "Sahat Al-Shaheed Farid Abu-Mohor"
