The Vision Center for Culture and Arts in Al Azzariyyeh (East-Jerusalem) organizes a summer school for children in the area, who are isolated from services in Jerusalem because of the Separation Wall and checkpoints. They lack basic cultural facilities. The center has been established to help meeting this need.

The Vision Center's summer school in 2009 had a range of musical and dancing activities, in which also some trainers of AEI-Open Windows participated. Here children of Azzariyyeh are on a visit to AEI's Youth House in Bethlehem, which was holding its own summer school.

Al-Azzariyyeh is named after Lazarus, who stood up at the instruction of Jesus, in this village which is internationally more known as Bethany.
