Workmen were clearing the silt and rocks from the aquaduct which (used to) run the length of Wadi Kelt. They broke the wall of the stream to be able to work without water rushing over them. The water poured down forming an artificial waterfall.

Wadi Kelt is a spectacular valley which runs through the West Bank to Jericho on the eastern border of Palestine. There is a marked walking track along its length which leads past the Monastery of St. George..
